(the problem of) empty houses

Let's solve the problem of empty houses
fill them with light,
fruit and plants,
drawings done with a wandering mind
sketching what love is and could be 

tacked on the refrigerator,
charming chipped mugs that do not match,
and warm beds where we hold hands 

before we fall asleep.
